Take It Easy But Take It

I've been here one week now, and I feel that means I should update!

My days are structured around the Spanish class I am taking. There are about thirty of us, split into two groups. While there is definitely a handful of Americans, there are also Australians, French, German, Danish, Swiss...  Somehow, the language that everyone speaks together has become English (because some of the students have learned English up to this point better than Spanish). So that's interesting. I'm hoping once classes at the university start (in August) that it's just Spanish being spoken.

Goal: To come back with no trace of an American accent (...we'll see how that goes).

Class is from 2-6 each day (with the exception of Thursday when we took a tour in the city) and people tend to reunite each evening for or after dinner. I feel like I'm getting a really good feel for the area, but I also know that I can't go out every night-

take it easy but take it

Live in Belgrano, go to bars in Palermo, explore San Telmo.
"Weeknight" seems to hold little meaning.

Tomorrow I'm going to this 'drum circle'-esq thing that should be awesome. It's every Monday and I keep hearing different people reference it.

Have you achieved that goal? How's your accent?
