I'm back at school now and this computer is allowing me to zone out when part of me is itching to sleep so I can wake up to my first Hillside breakfast of the semester.
It actually isn't so bad to be back. Our building is still gloomy and the snow is a bit slushy, but it could be worse. Actually, for the first time in college I'm geniounely excited about my schedule. I've been a bit disappointed these past couple semesters but now that it's not all general ed., it's nice. I know I'm definitely taking:
Comparative Social Movements
Philosophy of the Person II
Fundamentals of Politics
Environmental Law and Policy
(and for the fifth one I'm debating between a painting, photography, or sociology class called death&dying.)
These last couple days have been a nice transition because with syllabus days there isn't much stress. Yesterday we sat around a table and played three games of bananagrams followed by rummy. It's been a lot of catching up but in a silly carefree way.
Listened to Islands today for the first time in a long time. So bizarre and enjoyable for me.
Tomorrow begins day two of classes.
